We felt it was a very productive meeting.  We are moving forward with Call to Action items.  Go to this page to see the Timeline and Correspondence document and the Powerpoint presentation tha was given on April 16th.  We will not repeat the Powerpoint but will answer any questions you have.

The next Leader meeting on Zoom of any leades who wish to attend is May 14th at 8:00 pm Eastern time.    Click here tobe sent reminders of Leader meetings.

The Law (in Plain English) for Nonprofit Organizations

We will be informing you of some of the research that has been done by the Leader's Group over the past 8 months of waiting for the Board to listen to us. Recent important findings are from th this book, "The Law for Nonprofit Organizations."

We will be posting pertinent excerpts soon.  This book can be bought in paperback and kindle formats.

The winds begin to change . . .

In this section, we will post the letters to Leaders that have been sent since the Leaders Group began communication with the SNAP Board of Directors requesting a meeting with the Board about concerns and how we can help SNAP.  You will seean uptick in communication over the past 8 months.  If you look at how much this is increased over the past few years, you will see a definite pattern which we believe is the result of our steadfast attempts to talk to the board.  While they will not have the respect to meet with us,they certainly are edging toward implementing our demands.  Hence, expect the Board to come back and say just how responsive they have been and that we are complaining about nothing.  WRONG!  It is because we have tried to approach this in a professional manner that we are as far as we are in this process.

Click on the links below to access copies of SNAP Board of Directors email letters to leaders.  More links will be added soon.

Click Here for the Timeline and Correspondence document.  This document contains a clear timeline of events beginning in mid August to the present.  There is also a sequential presentation of emails that were sent to the group of 12 leader of SNAP who sent a letter in mid September requesting a meeting with the Board of Directors and outlining serious concerns that were to be part of that conversation.  Subsequently, the Board of SNAP did not meet with the group but did arrange an 8-hour mediation.  This mediation was to be run by a group called Center for Conflict Resolution and paid for by SNAP.  During the first 4-hour session of the mediation, the group never met with the Board.  The members of the board found ways to stall any mediation and finally they stopped the entire process by refusing to talk to 8 of the 12 leaders because the board declared that they were not vetted or ratified as leaders.  Read the document for full details.

Click here to download the Powerpoint presentation shown by the Leaders on April 16, 2025.  These slides give an overview of the events of the 8 months starting in mid August 2024.  During a Zoom meeting, the leaders who sent a letter to the SNAP Board of Directors on September 19, 2024.  More details can be found in the ime and Correspondence document found here.

Eight leaders were recently excluded from mediation with the Board of Directors of SNAP—8 out of 12 rejected! How did this happen? Why? It's time for you to inquire with the Board about your status as a vetted and ratified leader. Don’t assume that long-standing tenure guarantees your position; many believed the same. The Board implemented arbitrary criteria that led to the exclusion of these 8 leaders from discussions.

Check the Call to Action here and request clarification on your vetting status. If you are not vetted, insist on understanding the reasons why. To gain insight into the struggles these 12 leaders have faced, visit the Timeline and Correspondence section.

This phone line has been in operation for years and was funded by private individuals

➢ It has been staffed by a group of ‘leaders’ that respond to any calls that come in.  For  some leaders it is the only way that they can contribute and feel it is part of their  mission.

➢ Unfortunately, the bill was not paid and the line stopped working

➢ This has occurred in the past and was easily fixed by a quick phone call to the  benefactors

➢ Shaun reported that he did not know the benefactor (he was told) &  spent months  trying to fix it on his own. Including flying to Chicago for 3 days. It is still not back in full  operation. Shaun is the only person with access.

➢ Conversations with individuals from other organizations reveals that calls to the helpline  are not being fielded. Survivors report that they gave up trying to contact SNAP. The  mission of SNAP is NOT being fulfilled.
